Data Deletion

How to disconnect accounts, delete data, and check the status of a deletion request.

Disconnecting a Threads account

The Owner or a member with Threads channels access can disconnect an account from the Threads channels menu by choosing Disconnect. The access token is deleted immediately, so we can no longer access that account. The conversation history remains stored for the workspace until it is deleted using one of the methods below.

Deleting Threads account data through Threads

  1. Open the Threads app or website, then go to Settings, Account, Website permissions.
  2. Select Sociomile Threads, then remove it.
  3. Meta notifies us automatically. We disconnect that account and delete the data that came from it: the account profile, token, and the conversations, messages, and attachments that came in through that account.
  4. Meta shows a confirmation code. The deletion status can be checked at the URL provided with that code.

Deleting your Sociomile account and workspace data

Send a request from your Google account's email address to [email protected]. To delete an entire workspace, the request must come from the Owner. We process requests no later than 72 hours after account ownership has been verified.

What is kept

Invoices, payment records, and audit logs are kept as financial and security records in accordance with legal requirements, without conversation content. Other data follows the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
